Elkhorn Inn & Theatre

Built in 1922 as the Empire Coal & Coke Miner's Clubhouse, the Elkhorn Inn is on WV's "Coal Heritage Trail". The art-and-antique filled Inn features a balcony, patio cafe, art studio for visiting artists, balcony, fireplace, claw-foot antique bathtubs, signature toiletries, and bathrobes. Dinners in the Inn's elegant dining room are $30/per person, and may be booked with your room. The Elkhorn Inn & Theatre is on Route 52, in Landgraff, between Eckman and Kimball, just 30 minutes from Bluefield. The Inn's shop offers vintage American quilts, handmade jewelry, hand-crafted West Virginia coal statuettes, and fine art, and we're the exclusive provider in the Continental US of Alto Grande coffee, the Vatican's choice gourmet coffee! Sip a cup of Alto Grande on the balcony or patio, watch the trains (the famed "Pocahontas" line of the NS Railroad) and the sun set into the mist behind the mountains... There's catch-&-release trout fishing behind the Inn on Elkhorn Creek, golf at nearby Black Wolf Golf Course, Great ATVing on 100s of miles of nearby trail, hiking at Pinnacle Rock State Park, and day-spas and fun antiquing in Bluefield. The Inn has sat TV/VCR, books, games, and wireless internet access. The Elkhorn Inn & Theatre hosts weddings, receptions, dinners, concerts, special events, book-signings, meetings, and artists and writers retreats.
Group rates: 8 guest rooms (max 16 people): $599.00 + tax per night. 13 guest rooms (max. 26 people): $1100/night + tax. We are child and pet friendly! (The Inn has a $25 pet cleaning fee, and owners are responsible for their pets and must keep them leashed on our property). All guest rooms are non-smoking, but our Fireplace Lounge is a smoking room- the fireplace smokes!
