Cider Mill House

Located in historic Berkeley County, WV,Cider Mill House invites you to step into 18th C. country life and relax in 21st C. comfort.

Cider Mill House, our lovingly restored 200 year old stone farmhouse is the Heart of Willow Run Farm, an active working farm.

We encourage our guests to visit with the Pygora goats, chickens and Guinea Hens.We are home to a small herd of beef cattle which graze the property and we grow and cut our own hay. Many of the items on our breakfast menue come directly from our gardens and animals and nearyby orchards.

While we are a mechanized farm today, Cider Mill House and farm are typical of the small farms of the past and present that contribute to the richness of our community.

We are hands on farmers. Guests who are here in the spring or early summer may see us shearing the goats. The animals are fed twice a day and guests are invited to join us and learn about small farming.

We have a large woodland area with
nature trails and a variety of hardwood trees, wildflowers and plants. Guests are invited to walk the trails and the whole farm.

There are many area attractions as well: Civil War battlefields and national parks, the Tuscarora Trail, art events, studio tours, unique shopping in the local towns, concerts, live theater and West Virginia's premier barbeque and bluegrass festival is held in September, just minutes from Cider Mill House.

A substanial breakfast is a farm tradition today just as it was 200 years ago. We feature a full gourmet breakfast based on colonial recipies, including homemade and seasonal dishes - served in our Keeping Room,or weather permitting,on the front porch.

Carefully restored and decorated to reflect the 18th C. farstead lifestyle,we offer five period lodging rooms. Three rooms have private baths. Two bedrooms on the 2nd floor of the stone house have ensuite vanities and large shared bath - excellent for family or friends traveling together or for those who do not mind a shared bath.
All rooms have Queen size beds and the Inn is smoke free and air conditioned.
